JAF is established in memory of the late Alhaji Chief M.K.O. Abiola — a dedicated son, statesman, scholar, entrepreneur, and businessman who was honored and respected throughout Africa and the world community. Chief Abiola, the Pillar of Sport in Africa, also served as Chairman of International Telephone and Telecommunication for Africa and the Middle East, and Chairman in over 200 other corporations. Mr. Abiola had investments in 60 countries. In Africa, he had over 200 traditional titles bestowed on him as a testament to the value of his life to the world. Especially since July 7, 1998, which has left a tremendous void in Africa, we developed this programme to honor the memory of his respect for children and family.
